Dr. Shena, a psychologist, author, and healer rooted in the Isese tradition of Ifa, is the owner of the multi-faceted healing practice, Embodied Truth Healing. The purpose of her practice is to unlock body sovereignty for individuals through a variety of services such as consultations, talk therapy, a 10-week yoga workshop, and plant medicine guidance. She also offers trauma-informed training for practitioners, and supports on-set well-being for those in the film industry. Dr. Shena looked to create a website that would in many ways mirror the experience she would provide her patients. The ask was to create a website that felt visceral, supportive, ancestral, natural, spiritual, and healing. And she looked to simplify the onboarding process with questionnaires that would determine fit for prospective patients right away.

We achieved an organic feel through collage-like elements, metallic textures, watercolor backgrounds, and plant cutouts, with overlaying elements that flowed naturally into one another. The objective was to invite exploration from visitors, particularly with the splash page that invited visitors to select their own journey throughout the site. The “Healing” page also walked visitors through to guide them to the best area of service for them. This introspective and grounding approach generated some astounding results. An average of 2 minutes and 15 seconds were spent on each page, with 5.6% newsletter signup and 4% contact form conversion rates.
